Full dentures

Dentures

Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that can be removed and placed back in the mouth. While they take some getting used to and will never feel exactly like natural teeth, today’s dentures are more natural-looking and comfortable than ever.

Conventional Full Denture

A conventional full denture is placed after any remaining teeth are removed and the tissues have healed. Healing may take several months, which means you are without teeth during that period.

Immediate Full Denture

An immediate full denture is inserted right after teeth are removed. Since the jaw changes shape during healing, it often needs to be relined several months later so it stays secure.

Traditional partial denture

Traditional Partial Denture

A traditional removable partial denture uses a metal framework with plastic teeth and gum areas. It is held in place with clasps or other attachments.

Because metal bands can show near the gumline, many patients find this option less attractive and less comfortable to wear.

Valplast flexible partial denture

Valplast Partial Denture

We prefer Valplast dentures for many patients. These flexible nylon partial dentures are lightweight, comfortable, and designed to avoid the unsightly metal clasps used by traditional partials.

Instead of clipping to teeth with rigid metal, Valplast appliances clip more naturally to the gum. The base is extremely thin, durable, and may help reduce bone resorption associated with missing teeth.
